This is my respond to the issue about schoolgirl uniform commented by Munirah from PKPIM which was reported by Malaysiakini and criticized by some group of bloggers (whose comments in their blogs I considered as inappropriate) :
Do you ever wonder why at Motor Shows, sexily dressed girls are placed next to the exhibited cars? why girls wearing sexy dress are at the HP booth during PCFair??? Why girls in sexy clothes are in the electronic gadgets advertisements?.. why a contestant in Donald Trump's The Apprentice in one of the episode in one of its season 'lost' her skirt just to sell things so that her group will win... but actually was fired by Mr. Trump because of that...???? It's because... SEX SELLS... and girls in sexy clothes does attract boys.....
is there any research conducted on rapists in prisons that shows
1. sexy clothes is not one of the factors rapes cases happened?
2. or sexy clothes is one of the factors???
If there is no such research conducted.. then, we cannot claim either arguments... If there is.... than show it!!!... But all you did was just being rhetoric about this.... giving only theories without supporting details...
BTW.. Munirah was just commenting on the color and thickness of the baju kurung which can be really transparent - people can see 'something' these girls wear underneath... And she was only suggesting the government to change the color and put some thickness standard of the schoolgirl baju kurung.. plus to require girls to wear singlet or make their tudung covering the upper part of the body... What the big fuss about this??? anyway... it's her freedom of expression, opinion and ideas to make the suggestion...

Illegitimate Muslim children and JPN

Illegitimate Muslim children and JPN
After readinga a letter to Malaysiakini, JPN on the look-out for illegitimate Malay children by Dr. Yati Hewitt' and a reply by Joseph Paul in voxpopuli, i think I need to say something about this. This is my reply to Malaysiakini :
Islam rules that any child born out of wedlock cannot use 'Bin' or 'binti' of the husband of the mother. The child must have 'bin Abdullah' in his/her name instead. It is a religious matter, thus the JPN ruling is just following the Islamic rules and applies only to Muslims in this country.
From Dr. Yati Hewitt's letter, there was no mention that the child was denied a birth certificate, but only at the father's name it was written as "bin Abdullah'. If the child was born as early birth, the couple must inform the registration department about it, and if possible a letter from the doctor can be attached.
There is a law that "requires that the parents should be legally married before they can have a child" for Muslims in this country. It is called the Islamic Law and Muslims marriage fall under Islamic law jurisprudence in this country, not civil law.
I feel sad to read comments by non Muslims on this matter published in Malaysiakini as it indicates, there was no efforts from them to check first before making a comment which sometimes can be interpretd as trying to meddle in the Islamic/Muslims affairs.

A Hindu must not be an Indian
In reply to Ken's Little Blog, which was a reply to a Malaysiakini article by Azly Rahman's After the apology over the keris , I think there should be some correction...
Hundreds of years ago.. being a hindu in Nusantara (no Malaysia or Indonesia yet) is not being an Indian... it's same as in Bali now, where those Hindus in Bali are not Indian..... Therefore, Parameswara, a Hindu prince is not necessary an Indian Prince... he was a prince from Palembang. If we argue that his predecessors, Raja Suran originate from India coming down from under the sea to Bukit Saguntang (refer "Sejarah Melayu" book), then we must said that his grand grand grand father was Alexander the Great too as being told in the same story....
About the lost city mentioned, the city was not belongs to Raja Chola Rajendra from India, but it was invaded by him after taken over Bruas's Ganga Negara.
BTW... nothing was mentioned about Kedah and Lembah Bujang...??? it was established hundreds of years before Melaka was founded...
BTW.. the problem of us now, especially, most non Malays is, we are looking at the history hundreds years ago in the boundary of today's ie.. with Indonesia and Malaysia... where both was non existence name at that time... What we have at that time was only "Alam Melayu" or "Nusantara"... which consists of many states...
BTW... Orang Asli is known as "Melayu Proto"... and this "Melayu Proto includes Semai, Jakun, Temiar etc... and Orang Laut... and this Orang Laut is now called Malays... They establish Melaka with Parameswara... Of course now with blood mixing with Indians, Chinese, Arabs, Burmese, Europeans... etc...over the ages, Malay looks different that Orang Asli. And now, UMNO arrogantly on purpose overlooks/neglects their cousins, Orang Asli...
BTW.. we all coming from the same parents.. Adam and Eve - Adam dan Hawa...
